The directors of Euromedcafe.org are delighted to announce the winning short films in the fourth edition of the Another Look contest, “Short Films already made” section.
The Jury, comprised of:
Tanju Goban – Cultural coordinator at the Brussels Intercultural Action Centre for over ten years, he coordinates the listings of intercultural artistic productions “Le Monde en Scène” (“The World on Stage”) and is among the organisers of the Mediterranean Film Festival in Brussels.
Hisham Abdel Khalek – Producer, director and screenwriter. He was artistic director of the Alexandria International Film Festival in 2002, he has taken part in numerous festivals as a member of the jury and is currently a consultant for 23 international film festivals in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. He was artistic director of “Aida” in Doha (Qatar) and in Egypt in 2002 and his operatic repertoire now includes 20 operas. Consultant for numerous production houses, in 2003 he founded his own production company "AraMage Artistic Production”, which has produced and distributed over 20 works including features, short films and documentaries. His filmography includes over ten titles that he has either directed or written.
Kenan Görgün – Author and screenwriter. He wrote his first short story at the age of 13 and since then he has written novels and short stories alongside socio-political criticism, screenwriting and the composition of song texts for the rock band O.I.L. In 2006, his first novel L' Ogre, c'est mon enfant (“The Ogre is my Child”) was published, followed in 2007 by Fosse commune (“Communal Grave”), published by Editions Fayard.
Marisella Rossetti – Expert on the Middle East and the Balkans, she works for the European Parliament: she coordinates the Commissions for culture, foreign affairs and health. Author of numerous articles and essays on the Israel-Palestine conflict, including Infanzia negata in Palestina (“Childhood Denied in Palestine”), she has also helped to draw up reports on health matters and human rights in Palestine and refugee camps. She is a member of numerous associations that campaign for peace in Palestine.
